    The refurbishment and upgrade of the emergency department of this major hospital was successfully completed on time. The project was carried out in four stages to allow the hospital to remain fully operational whilst this contract was undertaken.

    Considerable co-ordination with the staff was instrumental in minimising disruption.

    The facilities provided under this contract included, a new covered set down area for six ambulances, new main entrance, triage and reception area, seven resuscitation cubicles, an air pressurised and filtered isolation room, 12 bed observation and four bed holding area, 21 assessment and treatment cubicles and office and administration areas.
